UPV is the coordinator of the GENERA project. In addition, UPV will be leading the identification of actual monitoring tools and participate in the development of Sustainable Action Plans, the creation of MOOC contents and contributing to the Digital Social Platform activities.
Role in the project
Global Mediterraneo S.L. is a partner of the GENERA project, representing part of the Spanish touristic islands, specifically ibiza and Formentera. They are the leader of the dissemination and Communication Strategy and the media expert, producing and broadcasting all kind of videos for supporting the project.

UniWA is responsible for the delivery of the MOOCs emphasizing on the importance of Energy Transition (as leader of the WP5). Also, UniWA has the role of a technical partner contributing to the tools of the GENERA’s Digital Social Platform and, especially, introduces the Blockchain Technology in the serious game developed to inform and engage people in the Energy Transition.

Comune de Stintino will be actively involved in all the project work packages contributing with their experience as public authority in one of the main touristic islands in Italy. Their main participation in GENERA is related to the production of Sustainable Energy Plans, the monitoring tool and the Digital Social Platform.

Role in the project
ITER is one of the GENERA local support managers, and as a public institution, acts as a gateway between the project and the municipalities, local and regional authorities of the Canary Islands. ITER participates in all the activities of the project, and will lead the tasks: “Stakeholder mapping, Policy and Regulation”, and the “Energy Transition Awareness”, also being responsible for producing the Understanding of Touristic Island Dynamics final report.

The Development Agency of South Aegean Region READ S.A. is a member of the GENERA consortium, participating in all the project activities. In particular, READ S.A. will be leading WP4 on Sustainable Energy Road-mapping, also being responsible for tasks “Production of roadmaps” and “Identification of collaborative opportunities benefits” for collaborating between municipalities to tackle Energy Transition throughout the “Green Crusades” by promoting the participation in larger networks, such as the Covenant of Majors or EU initiative such as the “Clean Energy for EU Islands”

UniverCities is responsible for the development of the Digital Social Platform along with UNIWA. Moreover, UniverCities will be assisting Stintino in the production of Sustainable Energy Plans, together with the validation of its monitoring tool. UniverCities also supports in other tasks such as the organization of events and other aspects.

In the GENERA project, Maggioli is coordinating Work Package 3 “Energy Transition Monitoring Tools” and different other Tasks. Mainly, MAG focuses on the technological and digital aspects of the system that GENERA is implementing to help European Islands in their path toward Sustainability.
